When you trust a vendor with your wedding, birthday, or corporate event, you need to know they are who they say they are and that their work is as good as they claim. Without a verification process, any marketplace is only as trustworthy as its least reliable listing. ELBOLD’s verification exists to protect customers and to create a professional community that genuine vendors want to be part of.
Our Review Process
We confirm the vendor operates under a real business identity. Name, trading description, and service category are checked for accuracy.
A valid UK phone number is required. We verify the number belongs to the applying business — not a disposable or VoIP number.
For higher verification tiers, vendors provide business documentation. We review this to confirm the business exists as described.
We review photos and videos of real work. Vendors cannot claim expertise in services they cannot demonstrate with actual examples.
Professionalism, pricing realism, and communication quality are assessed. We reject applications that appear unprepared or misrepresentative.
Every approved vendor is monitored through customer reviews, booking completion rates, and response patterns after approval.

Every vendor on ELBOLD meets our minimum standard. Additional badges indicate a higher level of verified trust.
The vendor has been assessed by the ELBOLD team for identity, business legitimacy, and portfolio quality. This is the baseline standard — every vendor on ELBOLD holds this status as a minimum.
The vendor has provided government-issued identification. We have confirmed their legal name matches their business identity. Customers have additional assurance of exactly who they are booking.
The vendor has maintained a strong performance record on ELBOLD, with verified reviews from real bookings and a consistent completion rate. This badge reflects earned trust, not purchased status.
Reserved for vendors with an exceptional track record, multiple verified five-star reviews, full identity confirmation, and consistent performance across numerous events. The highest trust tier on ELBOLD.
We monitor for unusual spikes in reviews — particularly from accounts with no booking history. Suspicious patterns trigger immediate investigation.
Application details are cross-checked against submitted documentation. Inconsistencies result in rejection or suspension pending clarification.
Vendors removed from the platform for policy violations cannot reapply under a different identity. We have systems in place to detect and reject attempts.
Any vendor found attempting to generate, purchase, or incentivise reviews is permanently removed from the platform and barred from reapplying.
Only customers who completed a real booking through ELBOLD can leave a review. If you did not book through the platform, you cannot review.
Every review is attached to a verified account. We know exactly who left every review. Anonymous ratings are not accepted.
Vendors cannot ask ELBOLD to remove negative reviews. They may post a professional response. Reviews remain on the profile permanently.
We have systems in place to detect unusual review patterns. Vendors who attempt to generate fake reviews are removed from the platform.
For Customers
The vendor profile shows accurate information about their services, experience, and location.
Any verified badge displayed on a profile is genuine and was awarded by our team, not self-assigned.
Reviews on the profile come from real customers who completed bookings through ELBOLD.
If the vendor's standards change or they underperform, our monitoring systems will flag it.
You can contact our team at any time if you have concerns about a vendor's behaviour or legitimacy.
We believe transparency builds more trust than overpromising. Verification is meaningful — but it has honest limits.
Verification is our assessment at a point in time — it is not a guarantee of future performance.
We cannot observe every event in person — our monitoring is based on customer reviews and completion data.
Verified vendors may still make mistakes or fail to meet expectations — verification assesses legitimacy, not perfection.

Approval is the beginning of the vendor relationship, not the end of our oversight. Every approved vendor is monitored across three dimensions:
Customer reviews — we read every review and flag patterns of concern
Booking completion rate — vendors who cancel confirmed bookings receive formal warnings
Response behaviour — vendors with consistently poor response rates receive reduced marketplace visibility
Standard applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. Applications that require document review or further clarification may take up to 5 business days.
No. Documentation submitted by vendors is confidential and used only for our internal review process. The verification badge on the profile confirms the level of verification completed.
If a verified vendor receives consistent poor reviews or fails to complete confirmed bookings, their account is reviewed. We may reduce their visibility, issue formal warnings, or suspend their account depending on the severity.
No. Verification badges are not available for purchase. They are awarded based entirely on the evidence submitted, our team's assessment, and the vendor's track record on the platform.
Only customers with a confirmed booking can leave a review. We monitor for unusual review patterns and investigate any that appear artificial. Vendors cannot remove negative reviews — they may only post a professional response.
